Season 2007 - 2008 is now over. We did manage 4 events - just - and are now looking forward to a restful summer before doing it all again. We hope to see some of you then.
Dates for the coming season have now been finalised, and we are almost ready to go.
If you are interested in hosting a distance event, taking part in one or just have some questions, please contact us.
NSDSC intends to offer 4 distance events this winter. Please note you must have adequate insurance coverage. The Sled Dog Sports Centre offers an insurance policy to all its members which covers racing and training. If you do not wish to take out insurance through NSDSC, you must provide evidence of equivalent coverage, mainly an insurance certificate which names you as an insured party and details the amount and nature of the coverage provided.
Additionally, we would encourage support for those breed club events being held which offer longer than usual race mileages.
These include the SHCGB race normally held Scotland in late February - offering a 6+ mile trail and the SSHC race at Quithel, traditionally the last weekend in March offering 6.6 miles. For March 2008, SSHC is offering the A class (6-8 dogs) the opportunity to race approx 8 miles.
